Types of users

- Local users: They can be used on one machine. There are two types: standar or administrator.

  • Standar: is a common user that has limited acces to the system.
  • Administrator: can do everything in the computer, this user has all the power.

- Domain users: They are a group of machines, and only one can control the others.

*Advantages: You don´t need a password of each device if you hace Domain user.

*Disadvantages: If the network is down you can´t acces to your computer.

And that´s all!!!

  1. Hi Elsa! Very good summary! Just a comment: you should know the difference between an standard user and an administrator.
The standard user is a common user with that has limited access to the system. For example, cannot install software, or change configuration. Administrator can do everything in the computer; that user has all the power.
